a close encounter with my First Love~ GOD♥
i am a Methodist, the United Methodist Church is my Domination. and i am pretty proud of being One of them. so here’s what i want to share, my close encounter with God yesterday:
We, the UMYF(united Methodist youth fellowship) conducted an activity entitled COMBAT(Christ Over Me-Batangas) yesterday-08.28.11, well, it’s inside the batangas district only, but it is open to all, methodist or non, with the Theme DOTA. it’s not the game, just an anagram for Devote Ourselves to The Almighty!. :) and I AM VERY BLESSED for the outcome of the activity.. :’) a self explanatory theme, with the supporting verse from ROMANS 12:1
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.
it was an overnight Youth fellowship held in Full Grace UMC, mataas na kahoy, lipa batangas. and different UMChurches have gathered. and together we brought praise to the Lord, worshiped God in spirit and in truth. and we have been truly blessed as we all felt the grace of our God. the best part is, there were new Youths that have surrendered their Lives to God and Accepted Him as their Savior and Lord. :’) God is really Good all the time. in addition, we had a great guest speaker which discussed about committing our lives 100% to the Lord. He was really used by God as an instrument to deliver the message of the Lord. :)
another interesting part was, we have this Game this Monday morning.. in which we were divided into 6 groups.. blindfolded and in a straight line. the rule was simple, to finish the maze within 5mins.! and they added, “kung kaylangan nyo ng tulong itaas na ang kamay, at sumuko na sa laro.”/”if you ever need help, just raise your hand and give up the game” .together we have to enter the grounds with a rope tied to the obstacles to be our guide.. meaning, if the rope will lead us to going under a chair, then we have to go under the chair. our leader was in front of me, and he added, that we should not give up, no matter what., as an attitude of a leader i felt the same way too. then there we go.. we all felt lost in the maze.. until 5mins is over, i didn’t reached the finish line. :\
.but, behind this game, a very big message was hidden.. the staff told us afterwards.. There is no Finish Line in the Game and we will only end up goin around and around in a never ending rope knots, and only then could we finish the game if we have surrendered., as they have told us in the beginning, they didn’t used the term ‘umayaw or mag-give up na sa laro’ instead, they used ‘Sumuko/surrender’. it was like i felt as if i have been slapped in my cheeks. i was really disappointed in my self. but i learned a lesson that i shared in front of them..
our life is full of ups and downs, and for me, that rope symbolizes our life, and being blind folded symbolizes Myself without God in my life.. the rope being connected to each other made the maze never ending, that’s our life without God, we can never find freedom in our life without Him, it will always seem like we are so lost in our life like there is no light guiding our ways., i have no intention of giving up, because that’s me, i want to finish what i have started and get them done in my way, i want to make the effort of finishing my race, but sometimes, that’s not the attitude God wants us to have.. some people make efforts of doing Good deeds to other, thinking that it will be credited as a Good doing of his self, but God will never credit our efforts in heaven unless WE SURRENDER OUR LIFE to HIM!. only then will We find the light to find the right path in the mazes in our life, like removing the blind fold in our eyes, and only then will be find the True Freedom in our life, like finding the end of what we thought was an unending race. Stop Worrying about our problems in life, SURRENDER everything to God even our Worries.. let us not rely with our own strength, let us rely in His for He can do the Impossible. ♥
..it’s just that, being a Christian, whatever our religion is, is so COOL! cool in the way that, i know my reasons for living, and most of all, I know who God is in my life. for me, i can not imagine how my life would turn out without God in my Life. i am so inspired by those people who really can devote and commit their selves, their everything to God despite all the barriers that may come into their lives. let us always DEVOTE, COMMIT, and SURRENDER everything to GOD. ♥

* now, is it Just a Game or something else?.. this note clearly is not a JOKE. there are more things on earth that we should see beyond our eyes.. clearly DOTA is a very addictive game that has contaminated thousands of mind of teen-agers around the world, and little do they know that a simple online Game like this could easily put them under the reign of SATAN.. that they have been praising satan through a strategic game like this, and in every triumph that each player has gained, SATAN actually is rejoicing too.. Let us devote ourselves , our time and our everything to God. bearing this message in mind wont do any harm to You.. Let us Devote Ourselves To the Almighty!. :’) -clarence
ANCIENT - question: who is Ancient?
answer: - God. but Satan disguises himself and deceives us, saying that He is the Ancient one.Why? who would you think you will defend on this game? whose defense is this?(with those cheats and verbal acknowledgments.. later to be discussed)
the obvious aims:
—to kill your enemy, to destroy the tree of life for sentinel,to destroy the frozen throne for scourge,and TO BE BEYOND GODLIKE in this game.
